Loss And Grief Work

When a person’s grief-related thoughts and behaviors are unrelenting and interfere with daily life, therapy can be an effective way to learn to cope with stress or stressors in relation to the loss and to manage symptoms. Some techniques I use with clients in grief therapy include relaxation techniques, meditation, or hypnotherapy. Additionally, I try to help the bereaved find ways to maintain healthy connections through memory, reflection, dialogue about or with the deceased, while simultaneously learning to live in the here and now.
