Bio

I received an MEd in Counseling Psychology in 1982 and in 1985 an MSW with Advanced Standing from Boston University.

I am also certified in Hypnosis with ADD/ADHD and am an Advanced Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist through ICBCH. 

I implemented a drug and alcohol education and prevention program in several middle schools in the Boston area and lectured and held workshops on the topic. I was a consultant at a leading Health and Human Service Agency in their outpatient drug and alcohol facility for 12 years where I did individual, family, and group work.  Additionally, I spent several years interfacing with the court system, performing intake and diagnostic evaluations for clients arrested for DUI and ran aftercare groups for alcohol recovery.  I have built and continue to maintain an extensive private practice working with individuals and couples exploring issues in a caring, safe, and supportive environment.

as well as attending and participating in ongoing continuing education workshops, particularly around the issues of treatment and coaching of ADHD, working with self esteem and body image, and treatment modalities for depression and anxiety disorders along with Complementary/Integrative modalities and techniques in the management of chronic pain, stress and anxiety, and a host of other issues and problems as identified by my clients.
